A young man walking by, in headphones and staring at his phone, acknowledges the question, mumbling something about where he's going, and.takes the right fork.out of the lobby,
The guard, shaking his head, turns to hand a pass to the next person, saying, "Straight ahead. Any elevator gets you there." Eying another visitor, he says, "Go left, through two doors, take a right."
He hands off each pass as if it's a relay baton. it's a wonder, how amid all the commotion, he hears clearly and funnels people along to the right place.
