Sunday morning was a great day for a hike, although by the time we reached Waramaug Rock, elevation 1250 feet, in the Macricostas Preserve, it was quite breezy and chilly. Nevertheless, we were rewarded with this view of Lake Waramaug, the Connecticut countryside, and a gorgeous sky. THe Massachusetts border lies well beyond the lake, although with visibility as great as it was, it seemed as if the state line wasn't quite so far away.
