Sometimes when we walk, the dogs and I, it's straight out to the road and the yellow stripe. It's as if they're channeling their inner Toto and leaving Munchkinland via the yellow brick road.
Most of the way around the loop, they take turns darting into the grass to leave a little something behind, and taking the point to guide us to their version of Oz - a cool house, a drink of water, and lunchtime treat.
These walks, following the double yellow line around the neighborhood, are quick as they pull their wizard by the leashes, to the promised land.
